Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Consultant Anesthesiologist to join their multidisciplinary team in delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of anesthesia, perioperative medicine, critical care, and pain management services within a leading public healthcare environment
Responsibilities

Provide consultant-led anesthesia services across a broad range of surgical specialties.

Deliver comprehensive perioperative care, including preoperative assessment and postoperative management.

Participate in on-call and emergency anesthesia services.
- →
Contribute to critical care, trauma, and resuscitation services as required.
- →
Support the development and implementation of clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
- →
Engage in teaching, training, and supervision of Non-Consultant Hospital Doctors (NCHDs), medical students, and allied healthcare professionals.

Participate in departmental audits, research activities, and service development projects.
- →
Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Applicants must:
Be registered as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council of Ireland in the specialty of Anesthesiology, or be eligible for registration.
Possess appropriate postgraduate qualifications in Anesthesiology recognized in Ireland.
Demonstrate substantial experience in consultant-level anesthesia practice.
Have excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Be committed to clinical excellence, patient safety, and continuous professional development.
Requirements
~1 min readFellowship or advanced training in a subspecialty area such as critical care medicine, pain medicine, cardiac anesthesia, pediatric anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, or regional anesthesia.
Experience in service development, clinical governance, and quality improvement.
Evidence of research, teaching, or academic involvement.
