Our client is looking for a Video Editor to produce high-quality, short-form educational video content with a documentary-style, motion-first approach. They operate within a professional services and advisory space and have built strong visibility in recent years by leveraging clear, educational content to explain complex topics to broad audiences. This role focuses on editing faceless, short-form YouTube educational videos inspired by the Magnates Media style. The editor will be responsible for transforming complex ideas into visually engaging, easy-to-understand narratives using motion, text, stock footage, AI-assisted visuals, and strong pacing. Responsibilities Edit short-form educational videos for YouTube using a faceless, documentary-style format. Apply motion-first editing principles rather than character or traditional animation. Translate complex concepts into visuals understandable at approximately a 5th-grade comprehension level. Use AI-generated images or video clips to represent abstract ideas when appropriate. Select and sequence stock footage to support storytelling and clarity. Apply text overlays and animated typography to reinforce key ideas. Ensure strong pacing, maintaining momentum throughout each video. Use visual metaphors, icons, and symbols to explain concepts simply. Follow strict clarity and storytelling guidelines to avoid visual clutter. Collaborate closely with the team to refine narratives and visual flow. Maintain consistency with defined visual standards and quality benchmarks. Requirements Proven experience editing short-form educational video content. Comfort using AI image and/or video generation tools. Strong understanding of pacing, rhythm, and motion-driven storytelling. Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly through visuals. Experience working with stock footage, text animation, and visual metaphors. Strong communication skills and openness to collaboration. Ability to follow structured creative guidelines and visual checklists. Qualifications Background in documentary-style or educational content editing. Experience creating faceless video content. Strong visual storytelling instincts with a clarity-first mindset. Detail-oriented and highly organized editing workflow. Collaborative and feedback-friendly working style.
