Maconomy ERP – Senior Test Automation Analyst

Why we're hiring:

This role will be working as part of both the Maconomy ERP testing team, who are responsible for all QA, Test & Release activities for this platform, as well as the QA Transformers team who own and operate our Test Automation platforms. You will provide technical as well as best practice support for all areas of test automation to the business. 

What you'll be doing:

• Lead Test Automation Efforts: Develop and implement automated testing strategies for functional, integration and regression testing, ensuring maximum test coverage and efficiency.
• Test Automation Framework Development: Lead the development, and maintenance of reusable and scalable test scripts, as well as supporting the design and development of our Global test frameworks
• Supporting Multi-Testing Streams: Ensuring that tests are developed and can be deployed to support multiple streams of work at the same time, such as multiple environment testing, as well as monthly releases
• Test Maintenance & Optimisation: Continuously monitor, update, and refactor existing test scripts to ensure they are up-to-date with application changes. Improve test efficiency, reliability, and speed through best practices and automation tools.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of test automation engineers, providing guidance, training, and support in best practices and automation techniques.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand system requirements and ensure that automation solutions align with the overall software development lifecycle.
• Sprint Management: Managing Sprint activities to support all development and maintenance activities for our test automation framework
• Quality Metrics & Reporting: Provide regular status reports on automation progress, key metrics, and test results to stakeholders. Identify and track automation defects and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Integration with CI/CD Pipeline: Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring automated tests are run as part of the regular build and deployment process.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test automation scripts, tools, and test environments.
• Documentation: Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of automation frameworks, scripts, and test procedures.
• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and processes for enhancing the test automation pipeline, improving productivity, and reducing test cycle times.

What you'll need:

• Proven Experience of creating & maintaining Test Automation frameworks
  • Utilising multi-branches for supporting different streams of work
  • Supporting multi UIs (e.g. Desktop, Web, Mobile
  • As well as 3^rd party integrated platforms
• Proven experience of the following Tools
  • Playwright, Selenium, Cypress
  • GitHub, Jenkins, BrowserStack, Atlassian
• Experience with DevOps frameworks and processes
• Experience with integration interfaces testing and tooling
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both with technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience in ERP automation in both Finance and HCM domains
• Exposure to AI Tooling ideally within the domain of Software Testing & QA
