1. Graduation from an approved Medical Transcription/Medical Secretary course.
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
1. Medical knowledge or terminology.
2. One year experience as a medical transcriptionist/medical secretary.
3. One year experience as a medical transcriptionist in Anatomic Pathology.
Responsibilities
~1 min read1. Ability to type reports accurately & complete in a timely manner.
2. Sustained periods of concentration and an intense level of mental/visual effort is required because the work is performed under very close limits of accuracy.
3. Knowledgeable of personal computer and various word processing, spreadsheet, and PowerPoint programs necessary to produce material relative to special pathologic projects, i.e., administrative reports and conference minutes, tumor board reports and conferences.
This position works Monday through Friday with no weekend or holiday requirements. Available shifts are 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. or 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., based on departmental needs.
