As a Facilities Technician, you will apply your skills to support our capacitor manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years of experience in building maintenance skills such as troubleshooting, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, welding, and reading blueprints. We are looking for our technicians to apply their technical expertise, problem solving skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact the future of energy!

  • Preventive Maintenance (PM): Conduct routine inspections on plumbing and electrical systems. Repair and replace plumbing, electrical fixtures, manufacturing equipment, drywall, door, furniture, etc.
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, modify, and repair furniture, wiring, equipment, fixtures, plumbing, doors, motors, other duties as assigned.
  • Work Orders: Complete daily maintenance requests, tracking work via the facilities work order system in Jira. Estimate material and labor costs, order  facility and custodial supplies or equipment as needed. 
  • Planning and Design: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Vendor Management: Assist or oversee outside contractors for specialized repairs, maintenance.
  • General Upkeep: Perform tasks such as painting, cleaning, minor carpentry, and sometimes exterior landscaping or snow removal.
  • Safety and Compliance: A deep understanding of safety procedures. Have a working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and NEMA safety regulations.
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in building maintenance skills such as troubleshooting, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, welding, and reading blueprints.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Proficient in the use of Use various testing devices (e.g., voltmeters, ammeters, cable testers) to diagnose malfunctioning systems, and components. 
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), work in cramped spaces or at heights, and stand/kneel for long periods.
  • Strong critical-thinking and troubleshooting skills are essential for diagnosing complex issues and developing effective solutions.
  • Good communication skills are needed to coordinate with teams, explain technical details to clients, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
