As a Technical Leader, you will lead a core part of our payments ecosystem, building and evolving solutions that serve enterprise clients using our payments platform. You will combine technical expertise, architectural ownership, and people leadership to support the continuous evolution and scale of our payments ecosystem.

• Lead the technical evolution of Yuno's merchant experience, focused on Core platform, APIs, and payment integrations.
• Own system and integration architecture connecting backend services and payment flows.
• Contribute hands-on to development, architecture decisions, and code reviews.
• Ensure scalable, maintainable, and well-documented solutions for enterprise merchants.
• Collaborate with Product, Backend, and Payments teams to align platform and merchant needs.
• Drive engineering best practices in API design, testing, and performance.
• Support and mentor engineers through technical guidance and architectural direction.

• Advanced English; conversational Spanish is a plus.
• Experience in payments companies or payments-related teams.
• Deep experience in payments infrastructure, including network tokens, routing, and transaction optimization.
• Staff-level technical leadership experience, with the ability to influence architecture, mentor engineers, and represent technical decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong backend engineering experience, with focus on implementation and system design.
• Proven experience building and maintaining platforms, APIs, and integrations.
• Solid understanding of scalable architectures and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Golang or Kotlin.
• Experience contributing to technical decisions and code reviews.
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools and systems (e.g. Claude, AI agents, or LLM-powered workflows) to improve developer productivity or platform capabilities.
