The Brake & Roll Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating brake press and roll press equipment to fabricate high-quality metal components according to engineering specifications. This role requires the ability to interpret blueprints, configure bend allowances, verify dimensional accuracy, and maintain efficient production output while adhering to all safety and quality standards.
Set up and operate brake press and roll press equipment to form, bend, and roll metal components.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, bills of materials (BOMs), and production specifications.
Calculate and configure bend allowances for stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel materials.
Utilize measuring and inspection tools including tape measures, squares, electronic levels, calipers, and micrometers to ensure product accuracy.
Verify dimensions, alignment, and tolerances throughout the fabrication process.
Perform in-process and final inspections to maintain quality standards.
Deburr, grind, file, and polish fabricated parts using hand, bench, and machine tools as required.
Identify production inefficiencies and contribute to improved machine performance, quality, and throughput.
Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Assist with additional fabrication and manufacturing duties as assigned.
Minimum of 3 years of brake press and/or roll press operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
Prior metal fabrication experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong understanding of dimensional tolerances and quality inspection methods.
Experience using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
Basic mathematical skills, including fractions, decimals, and measurements.
