As a Senior Software Engineer on the Integrations team, you'll design and build the systems that connect ZoomInfo's platform to the ecosystem of CRM, MAP, and external eco-systems that our customers depend on. You'll work on highly scalable backend services that power reliable, real-time data sync and API integrations across millions of records — enabling seamless connectivity between ZoomInfo and platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
You'll leverage technologies like Kafka, Confluent Cloud, Node.js/NestJS, and modern API and authentication standards to build resilient, observable, and fault-tolerant integration services. Your work will be foundational to how ZoomInfo's data reaches customers and connects with the tools at the center of their go-to-market stack.

Responsibilities

- →Develop and manage our platform integrations layer, handling connectivity, data ingestion, and exports between ZoomInfo's data layer and third-party integrations
- →Design systems for reliable job execution, retries, state management, and long-running processes
- →Implement orchestration patterns for complex, multi-step business processes
- →Design and maintain APIs and internal services that integrate with external systems
- →Build observability into systems (logging, tracing, metrics) to monitor integration health and performance
- →Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability of backend systems handling large volumes of events
- →Optimize system performance, throughput, and latency across distributed systems
- →Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in complex, asynchronous systems
- →Lead medium to large-scale feature development, working independently while coordinating with cross-functional teams
- →Collaborate with product and platform teams to define integration requirements and execution guarantees (SLAs/SLOs)
- →Participate in agile development processes, sprint planning, and technical discussions
- →Provide technical mentorship and conduct thorough code reviews to elevate team capabilities
- →Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate new tools for potential adoption
- →Support production systems through monitoring, troubleshooting, and reliability improvements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend systems
- Strong experience with Java (Spring Boot) and/or Node.js (NestJS)
- Experience building integrations with CRM or MAP platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Familiarity with no-code/low-code integration platforms (e.g., Fivetran, Zapier, or similar)
- Solid understanding of authentication and authorization protocols including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and JWT
- Experience with third-party API patterns — rate limiting, pagination, error handling, and data transformation pipelines
- Proficiency with MongoDB and comfort working across relational and NoSQL data stores
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful and webhook-based APIs with strong grasp of versioning, reliability, and backward compatibility
- Solid understanding of software architecture patterns, cloud platforms, databases, and distributed systems concepts
- Proven experience with performance optimization, security best practices, and scalable system design
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, production-quality code and conduct effective code reviews
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex technical issues and implement robust solutions
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with agile development methodologies, version control systems, and CI/CD practices
This role is a hybrid position, with the option to work from home on Mondays & Fridays.
The US base salary range for this position is $140,000.00 - $200,000.00 + variable compensation + benefits.
