Responsibilities

  • →Perform protein purification and analytical characterization of various protein-based molecules.
  • →Design, plan and execute experiments to characterize multispecific antibody-based therapeutics through developability assays.
  • →May assist in affinity measurements to screen protein therapeutics.
  • →Troubleshoot methods, suggest improvements and develop new technologies for project advancement.
  • →Write standard operating procedures for methods requiring significant technical understanding, data manipulation and calculations.
  • →Analyze data, draw conclusions and participate in cross-departmental activities.
  • →Maintain a clean, organized and operational lab. 
  • →Conduct all activities in accordance with scientific standards, OH&S regulations and established policies and practices.
  • →Actively work to foster an environment of effective and collaborative working relationships across the organization.
  • A BSc in a relevant scientific discipline (biochemistry, immunology, etc.) and a minimum of 2-3 years related experience or a Master’s degree with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience in protein purification (affinity, protein A/G/L, IEX, and SEC).
  • Experience in protein analytical techniques (e.g. PAGE, CE-SDS, ELISA, MSD, UPLC-SEC).
  • Knowledge in therapeutics developability assays (AC-SINS, non-specific ELISA, HIC).
  • Understanding of different affinity measurement methods (e.g. SPR, BLI, KinExA, on-cell binding).
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of cross-functional team.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a high paced, fast changing environment.
  • Ability to present data at team and inter-departmental meetings.

The base salary range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the location for which the job is posted and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by a variety of factors and the salary offered may vary depending on the successful candidate’s location and qualifications (including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, education, training, skills, and experience).
