Principal Software Engineer

JOB SUMMARY: 
Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products.

DIMENSIONS:
Standard work environment
Majority time spent on PC (Phys. Req.)
Some limited Travel required, may be domestic or international

Minimum Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field.

• 9+ years’ experience as a software developer.

• Strong Hands on experience in Core Java (SCJP certified is preferred), J2EE and JUnit

• Hands on experience in one of the following database platforms: SQL Server / My SQL /DB2 / Oracle.

• Exposure to Hibernate 4.x, Spring4.x (IOC, MVC), Restful Web Service, Spring Boot.

• SME for Postilion software development/implementation

• Payment domain knowledge

• Hands on Agile Methodology

   

The Job Accountabilities:

• Enhance the operational independence: 

  • In last couple of years, most of the Pune teams are now became self sufficient from the technical and product hands-on knowledge point of view, the main job of this role is to maintain and enhance the operation independence of Pune. 

  • To be a single point of contact for Postilion Pune teams for all the Technical, Architectural and Solution queries (regardless of MR / RP)

  • This person would be the connect point with the Architects in Cape Town / US to identify and heal the technical knowledge gaps that may exists in Postilion Pune. 

   

• Increasing the overall knowledge level of Postilion Pune Team

  • Enable the teams on exploring new technical and functional areas e.g. DevOps, Automation, End to end testing, etc. 

  • Establish and nurture the culture of knowledge sharing in Postilion Pune teams that should also benefit the overall site. 

  • Identify and help to execute tool initiatives , incubation projects, implementation of innovation ideas, sideline technical projects 

   

• Help Postilion Pune Leadership team in improving the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Postilion team
