SUMMARY
The IT/ ATM Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining hardware and some software components to ensure the smooth operations of the Bank. This includes installing and configuring hardware, offering system support, and being the primary point of contact for IT hardware issues within the Bank. The role involves working both in a team-based environment and independently.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshoot hardware, and software issues in person, remotely and via phone.
- Assist personnel with installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of system hardware and software.
- Offer daily operations and system support to personnel
- Verify functionality of hardware and software components.
- Install and configure printers within the business.
- Troubleshoot printing and/or scanning failures at the machine level.
- Conduct scheduled checks and maintenance of all printing and scanning equipment at the Bank.
- Perform ongoing maintenance of ATMs including servicing and preventative maintenance.
- Prepare operational and technical reports on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain an inventory of all parts and support equipment.
- Travel within St. Lucia (and elsewhere required) to perform servicing, installations, and repairs.
- Commission and prepare ATMs for installation, including physical installations.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least an Associate Degree in information technology or related field or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a technician (PCs, ATMs, scanners, printers, etc.)
- Training in hardware maintenance and troubleshooting, NRC ATMs Certification
- Professional qualifications such as APlus, Network Plus, are highly preferable.
