The Senior Plumbing Technician maintains, repairs, and installs plumbing systems throughout the property. This position is responsible for seasonal winterization and spring startup of buildings and the RV park, water system testing, and assisting with HVAC maintenance. Also supports purchasing and budgeting and works as part of the team to provide reliable, high-quality service. Responsible for supporting the Companies mission, vision, and values by providing fun and games like no place else.

• →Install some new plumbing when needed throughout the year.
• →Fall winterization of up to 50 buildings and one 16-unit RV Park.
• →Spring startup of buildings and RV Park.
• →Chemical tests of chilled water and boiler water.
• →Assist with maintaining of the HVAC systems.
• →Assist the Plumbing/HVAC Manager with the purchasing and budgeting of plumbing supplies.
• →Perform other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma
• 2 year technical college graduate in pipe fitting, plumbing, HVAC or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Plumbing or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Minnesota Plumbers License at a Journeyman level.
• Must be able to pass Canterbury Park’s pre-employment screening which includes a criminal background check, verification of work history, Drug Screening, and Canterbury Park’s Safe Driving Policy.
• Must be able to attain a Minnesota Racing Commission (MRC) license.

• Minnesota Boilers License
• Experience with boiler operation and maintenance.
• Experience with plumbing and irrigation systems.
• Experience with Building Automation and Lighting Systems.
• Experience testing and resetting dry sprinkler systems.
• Additional experience in HVAC, welding, electrical, or other mechanical systems is a plus.
• Relevant licenses or certifications, such as Aquatic Facilities Operator, RPZ Tester, EPA Refrigerant, or Boiler Operator, are preferred

• Comfortable working at heights up to 80 feet using lift equipment and on flat roofs up to 100 feet.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, including occasional smoking environments.
• Able to frequently stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, climb, and reach overhead.
• Able to use ladders up to 12 feet and climb up to 5 flights of stairs.
• Able to work occasionally in ceilings and other confined spaces.
• Able to lift and work with 25-pound loads for up to 4 hours and lift up to 100 pounds for short periods.
• Frequent use of hands and wrists is required.
• Must be able to safely operate equipment such as Genie lifts, scissor lifts, an 80-foot JLG lift, compressors, Bobcats, and John Deere sweepers.
