We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and organized individual to join our Sunshine Telephone Reassurance Program, which provides daily reassurance calls to seniors and other individuals who may be isolated or homebound.

The Sunshine Specialist makes scheduled calls to clients, documents each contact, and follows established procedures when a client cannot be reached. This position also works closely with program volunteers, helping to ensure calls, follow-up activities, and documentation are completed accurately and consistently.

Responsibilities

Make daily telephone reassurance calls to enrolled clients and accurately document call activity.

Follow established procedures for unanswered calls, including contacting designated individuals and coordinating welfare checks when necessary.

Monitor completion of daily calls, required follow-up activities, and documentation.

Complete intake for new clients and close out services for clients who discontinue participation.

Train and provide guidance to program volunteers on program protocols and procedures.

Monitor volunteer adherence to program requirements and report concerns to the Programs Manager.

Communicate the status of calls and any outstanding follow-up needs at the end of each shift.
→Assist with monthly reporting and program documentation.

Provide general administrative support, including bulk mailings and other program-related activities as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
At least one year of administrative experience and one year of experience in human services or customer service; experience working with seniors is preferred.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and email.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to follow established procedures and accurately document information.
Ability to work cooperatively with staff and volunteers.
Ability to interact with clients with tact, empathy, patience, and good judgment.
Friendly, compassionate, and nonjudgmental approach when working with seniors and other individuals.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Ability and willingness to learn new responsibilities as needed.

211 Palm Beach Treasure Coast is a private nonprofit 501(c)3 agency that was started in 1971 and quickly expanded into crisis counseling and suicide prevention. 211PBTC a dedicated and passionate agency committed to improving lives through crisis intervention and by connecting people to health, mental health, and wellness services 24 hours a day every day, seven days a week. The agency cultivates a caring and dynamic team to serve Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast (five counties). Additional partners provided funding to support a quality, centralized access point for health, and human services information and crisis services. 2-1-1 was designated nationally by the FCC for information and referral purposes, and it became the telephone number for the agency's helpline.
