In this role, you will lead technical execution across critical cloud components, guide engineering teams in adopting cloud best practices, and help ensure our cloud environments are reliable, secure, and scalable.

As a Senior Cloud Engineering Specialist, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Design and operate Kubernetes (EKS) clusters, ensuring reliability, multi‑tenant operation, scalability, and security.
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation or CDK to deliver consistent and automated cloud resources.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and CodeBuild to support automated testing, deployments, and infrastructure rollout.
  • Operate and enhance critical platform services, including AWS-native services, Databricks Runtime, DataHub, Temporal.io, SyncThing, etc.
  • Implement cloud observability practices, including monitoring, alerting, logging, metrics, and system performance baselines.
  • Collaborate across development, platform, IT, and security teams to onboard use cases, improve reliability, and adopt best practices.
  • Support troubleshooting and incident response, participating in on-call rotations and leading root-cause analysis for cloud and platform systems.
  • Promote Well‑Architected principles, cloud security, IAM hygiene, encryption standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvements and cost optimization across cloud infrastructure and platform workloads.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including runbooks, architecture diagrams, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level cloud engineers, sharing knowledge, patterns, and engineering best practices.

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field from an accredited university.
  • Solid professional experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE.
  • Solid hands-on experience building and operating AWS environments.
  • Intermediate English Proficiency

  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation or CDK).
  • Experience operating AWS, Databricks, DataHub, Temporal.io, or similar enterprise platforms at scale.
  • Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or CodeBuild.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles, IAM governance, and encryption best practices.
  • Experience troubleshooting cloud infrastructure and distributed systems in production environments.
  • AWS Solutions Architect – Professional or equivalent advanced cloud certification.
  • Proficiency with Docker, GitHub, monitoring stacks (CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, Splunk), and container security.
  • Familiarity with AWS Bedrock, LLM‑based architectures, or emerging AI platform infrastructure.
  • Experience with enterprise identity systems (Microsoft Entra ID, SCIM, OIDC, OAuth2).
  • Strong SRE background, including resiliency engineering, SLIs/SLOs, and incident response best practices.
  • Experience with AWS networking (VPCs, Transit Gateways, PrivateLink, multi-account patterns).
