Acute Care Surgery- Full Time PA/NP

Monday – Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 5:00

Join a highly respected team of Acute Care Surgeons supporting a busy Level I Trauma Center in Macon, Georgia. This is an exciting opportunity for a PA or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to work alongside experienced surgeons and advanced practice providers in a fast-paced inpatient environment focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

• Full-time, inpatient APP position Monday – Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM No nights, weekends, or call responsibilities
• Average patient census of approximately 15 patients per day
• Collaborative team-based practice with experienced surgeons and APPs Opportunity to manage complex surgical and trauma patients
• Work within a premier Level I Trauma Center

• →Provide inpatient care for General Surgery and Trauma Surgery patients
• →Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care
• →Participate in daily rounding and multidisciplinary care discussions
• →Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and ancillary teams
• →Manage patient admissions, consults, and follow-up care as appropriate
• →Ensure high-quality, evidence-based patient care and documentation

• Certified as a PA or Nurse Practitioner with acute care certification
• Be eligible for or possess Georgia licensure
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
• Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative hospital environment
• Have excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Possess a passion for trauma and acute care surgery

The Surgery & Weight Management team consists of:

• 8 Physicians
• 8 Advanced Practice Providers
• Providers work collaboratively to deliver comprehensive surgical and trauma care while maintaining a strong culture of teamwork, education, and clinical excellence.

This role offers the opportunity to work alongside highly respected acute care surgeons within a Level I Trauma Center. Providers enjoy meaningful clinical work, strong physician collaboration, and the ability to make a direct impact on patient outcomes in a dynamic surgical environment.

This position is based at Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center and supports inpatient General Surgery and Trauma Surgery services. The facility is recognized for delivering high-quality acute and trauma care while fostering a collaborative environment for providers and staff.
