Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Participates as a member of Service Line senior management, providing leadership and subject matter expertise.
- →Represents the Service Line in Division and Area initiatives related to access, teammate engagement, patient experience, and quality.
- →Partners with leadership to evaluate, prioritize, and model financial impact of strategic programs and clinical initiatives.
- →Leads monthly operational performance reviews, monitors budgets, analyzes variances, and implements corrective actions.
- →Develops and implements annual business plans, growth strategies, and operational objectives aligned with Service Line and Area priorities.
- →Oversees ambulatory services across the care continuum, ensuring clinical quality, patient safety, and operational efficiency.
- →Builds and leads high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, engagement, and accountability.
- →Supports program planning for new facilities and services; leads integration and optimization of operations and best practices.
- →Partners with physician and nursing leaders to advance clinical programs and innovation.
- →Leads negotiation, oversight, and management of physician contracts to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- →Directly manages service line administrative leaders, including hiring, development, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- →Leads workforce strategy, including staffing, leadership development, and retention efforts.
- →Collaborates on development and management of operating and capital budgets and long-term financial planning.
- →Identifies and implements efficiency opportunities and value capture initiatives across sites of care.
- →Monitors financial, quality, and operational performance metrics and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
- →Champions patient safety, quality improvement, and patient experience efforts in partnership with clinical leadership.
- →Supports development and implementation of new programs and services based on community and market needs.
- →Partners with marketing and community relations to enhance access and awareness of services.
- →May support academic mission by aligning clinical operations with research, education, and innovation initiatives.
- →Leads talent management processes including performance management, succession planning, and team development.
- →Ensures compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field.
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field, or a terminal degree such as PhD, JD, or PharmD.
