We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in electrical engineering and significant supervisory experience in the manufacturing sector. The Assistant Maintenance Manager will play a key role in overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting the production team to meet our quality and production goals.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules, procedures, and protocols to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment.
  • Assist in developing and managing the maintenance department budget, including cost control measures and expenditure tracking.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to achieve overall business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the metals industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, industrial controls, and mechanical equipment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing maintenance programs and strategies.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and best practices in maintenance management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
