Chief Accountant

ABIS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to lead our accounting team. The Chief Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing accurate financial reporting to support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong leadership, analytical abilities, and expertise in accounting standards and financial management.

• →Manage and supervise the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• →Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets in compliance with IFRS and company policies.
• →Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure their accuracy.
• →Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• →Coordinate and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and inspections.
• →Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• →Provide financial analysis and insights to assist senior management in decision-making.
• →Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable activities.
• →Mentor and train accounting staff to build a high-performing team.

• →Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA or CMA are highly preferred.
• →Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
• →Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local accounting regulations.
• →Experience with accounting software and ERP - Microsoft Dynamics 365 systems.
• →Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
• →Strong attention to detail and high level of integrity.
• →Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• →Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
