The Building Engineer - Cleanroom Facilities is responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of critical cleanroom infrastructure and building systems that support manufacturing, laboratory, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, biotechnology, healthcare, and research environments.

This position ensures continuous operation of cleanroom mechanical systems, HVAC equipment, filtration systems, pressure relationships, temperature and humidity controls, and supporting utility systems.

Shift: Monday - Friday | Day Shift

Payrate: $38-$42 hourly rate | Weekly pay

Location: Irvine, Ca

  • Operate, monitor, maintain, and repair cleanroom mechanical systems and associated support equipment.
  • Maintain cleanroom environmental conditions including temperature, humidity, airflow, and pressure differentials.
  • Perform routine inspections of cleanroom infrastructure and critical support systems.
  • Ensure compliance with cleanroom operating standards and facility procedures.
  • Support contamination control initiatives and cleanroom best practices.
  • Participate in cleanroom certifications, audits, and inspections.
  • Troubleshoot airflow, pressure control, and environmental deviations.
  • Monitor and maintain filtration performance and change schedules.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Complete work orders according to facility maintenance schedules.
  • Inspect and maintain facility equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Support equipment commissioning and requalification activities.
  • Coordinate maintenance shutdowns with operations teams.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree or technical certification in HVAC, Mechanical Systems, Facilities Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of building maintenance, critical facilities, HVAC, cleanroom, pharmaceutical or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting controlled environments highly desirable.
  • Experience working with critical facility systems and utilities preferred.

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
  • Certified Cleanroom Professional (CCP)
  • HVAC Certification
  • Building Operator Certification (BOC)
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) preferred
