The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of building repairs and maintenance tasks within a large industrial facility. This hands-on role includes repairing and maintaining doors, walls, flooring, fixtures, lighting, and other building components, as well as completing preventative maintenance and responding to service requests. The ideal candidate has strong handyman skills, takes pride in their work, and helps ensure the facility remains safe, clean, and well-maintained.

✓Perform general handyman repairs throughout the facility, including drywall, painting, carpentry, flooring, ceiling tiles, doors, locks, and hardware.
✓Repair and replace lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures, and other building components.
✓Complete preventative maintenance tasks and routine inspections.
✓Respond to maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
✓Assemble, install, and move furniture, equipment, and fixtures as needed.
✓Perform minor plumbing, electrical, and building repairs.
✓Maintain interior and exterior areas of the facility.
✓Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment safely.
✓Identify and report larger repair needs requiring specialized trades.
✓Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
✓Assist with facility improvement projects and general upkeep activities.
✓High school diploma or GED required.
✓Minimum of 2 years of handyman, building maintenance, facilities maintenance, apartment maintenance, or general repair experience.
✓Experience performing basic carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, door and hardware repairs.
✓Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance practices.
✓Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
✓Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs with minimal supervision.
✓Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
✓Good communication and customer service skills.
