Responsibilities

→Inspect culverts, large complex bridges, moveable bridges, and ancillary structures (signs, light poles, traffic signals)
→Lead field inspection teams, topside and underwater
→Develop inspection reports, and review reports prepared by others
→Structural load rating and scour analysis
→Office responsibilities will include report writing, review and data entry

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to travel out of state
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines
Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
