Senior Equity Research Analyst : Insurance

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Equity Research Analyst to cover the South African insurance sector. This role is suited to a commercially minded research professional with strong financial modelling capability, deep sector insight, and the ability to translate complex analysis into clear investment recommendations for institutional clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining valuation models, producing high-quality research reports, analysing market and regulatory developments, and presenting investment views to fund managers and internal stakeholders.
This is an excellent opportunity for a high-performing analyst to build visibility in the listed insurance sector and contribute directly to differentiated investment insights for institutional clients.
Key requirements: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in equity research, investment banking, actuarial valuations, or financial services analysis. Strong financial modelling skills, knowledge of IFRS 17 and SAM and excellent written and verbal communication capability. A relevant finance, actuarial science, economics or accounting degree is required (CFA preferred). Deep Insurance sector knowledge is critical.
