JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Emergency Medicine • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: El Paso, TX • Service Setting: Free-Standing Emergency Room • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: 08/01/2026 – Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 24-hour physician coverage PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatrics • Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 18,250 annual visits • Admissions: Yes • Case Mix: Emergency Medicine cases FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 11 • EMR System: Cerner • Office Equipment Available: Standard Emergency Department equipment • Specialty Backup Available: Imaging and Lab Services • Support Staff Available: Emergency Department clinical staff PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Emergency stabilization and treatment • Airway management • Emergency Department core privileges procedures JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active unrestricted TX Medical License • Board: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine • DEA: Active DEA with TX address and schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5; fee-paid only • Certifications: ATLS, ACLS, and PALS required for FM/IM Board Certified providers • Experience: Proof of current Emergency Medicine experience within the past 2 years • Other Qualifications: Completion of residency in EM, FM, or IM DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide emergency medical evaluation and treatment to patients of all ages • Perform emergency stabilization and emergency procedures as needed • Document patient encounters accurately within Cerner EMR • Collaborate with Emergency Department staff and ancillary services • Maintain compliance with credentialing, CME, and immunization requirements
