JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Hematology & Oncology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Marquette, MI Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8a – 5p - 2 weeks/month On-Call Shift Schedule: Occasional night and weekend call Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 1:2 Call Response Time: 15 min Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 10-15 patients/day Phone Consults: 0-5 Case Mix: Hematology/Oncology FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Athena and Cerner Office Equipment Available: Ultrasound, X-Ray, Lab draws in office Support Staff: RNs: 13, PA/NPs: 3, Office Staff: 13 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: No JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC required Licenses: Licensed in MI Certifications: BLS, ACLS Fellowship: Preferred Experience: Experience in oncology practice preferred Other Qualifications: EMR proficiency, team-based care experience Duties & Responsibilities Provide hematology and oncology clinical services in an outpatient and inpatient setting. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and manage oncology patient care. Participate in weekly tumor board meetings and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Provide occasional night and weekend call coverage. Utilize ONCO EMR and coordinate with onsite genetic counselors and research staff.
