JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Hospitalist • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Kingsport, TN • Service Setting: Acute Care Hospital • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: July 1, 2026 – Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: - 10-hour (7a – 5p) and 12-hour shifts (7a – 7p, 7p – 7a) PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults • Patient Volume/Census: TBD • Admissions: Yes • Rounding: Included • Case Mix: General Medicine and Cardiac Hospitalist patients FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 300+ acute care beds - Including 40+ ICU/PCU beds • Trauma Level: TBD • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: Standard inpatient equipment • Specialty Backup Available: Cardiology, Nephrology, Vascular Surgery, CT Surgery, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Gastroenterology, ID, Urology, ENT, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurology, Radiology, Interventional Radiology • Support Staff Available: Dedicated NP/PA admitter, Code/Rapid Response teams PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Hospitalist patient management • Admissions and discharges • Inpatient rounding and care coordination JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active TN license required • Board: Board Certified required • DEA: Required • Certifications: ACLS, PALS • Experience: Preferred 2 years recent experience • Other Qualifications: Academic medical center experience preferred DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide inpatient hospitalist coverage • Manage medicine and cardiac patient populations • Coordinate admissions, rounding, and discharges • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic
