Job Quick Facts: • Specialty: OBGYN-NP/PA • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Facility Location: Colorado Springs, CO • Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient • Reason For Coverage: Supplemental • Coverage Period: May 1 - Ongoing • Coverage Type: Clinical + call • Shift Schedule: Mon-Fri; 8a-5p - Prefer full-time • Call Schedule: 1 in 5 day, 1 in 10 overnight & weekends • Patient Volume: 20 (OP) • Ave. no. of deliveries per physician per week: 3 • Ave. no. of GYN surgeries per week: 8 (OP) • Support Staff: 2 RNs, 1 LPN, 6 MAs, 3 PAS; 1 surgery scheduler • Physicians in Practice: 5 OBGYNs • Mid-levels in Practice: 2 • % of Practice: Primarily OP; Some IP • Case Mix: - Low risk pregnancy: 70%, High risk pregnancy: 10%, C-Section: 30%, Office GYN: 10%, Surgical GYN: 10% • Required Procedures: - Low risk pregnancy- PTs w/ pre-existing problems, history of twins, history of toxemia, pyelonephritis, hyperemesis, etc. - FHR interpretation- NST/CST/FSE - Level I/screening (viability) - Routine delivery: vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for a C-section. - Complicated delivery: C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, etc. - VBACs & repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations • Lab & Ultrasound Onsite: Yes; Ultrasounds performed by tech • Office Equipment: Colonoscopy, LEEP, US, NS • Trauma Level: I • No. of Exam Rooms: 11 • No. of Beds: 413 • Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered Requirements: • Active CO License or willing to obtain • BC • BLS, ACLS, NRP • OB/GYN experience • NPDB pulled within 30 days
