Rounding: Included FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 32 beds Trauma Level: N/A EMR System: Epic Specialty Backup Available: Yes (OB/GYN, Anesthesia) Support Staff Available: RNs, NPs, Midwives PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES Management of deliveries (vaginal and cesarean) Antepartum and postpartum care Routine gynecological surgeries Level II nursery care for newborns Emergency OB/GYN procedures JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology (ABOG) Licenses: Active SC License, DEA DEA / CDS: Active DEA required Experience: Residency trained in Obstetrics & Gynecology; EPIC experience required Other Qualifications: Current EPIC experience, must complete MUSC hospital modules and EPIC personalization DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide 24-hour call coverage for OB/GYN services, including inpatient and emergency cases. Manage deliveries (approximately 30-50 per month) and perform cesarean sections as needed. Provide comprehensive care for antepartum, postpartum, and gynecological patients. Perform routine and emergency gynecological surgeries in the OR. Supervise and collaborate with NP and midwife support staff for non-call duties.
