JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: A-MD-70264 Profession: Physician Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Paducah, KY Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Call Only Coverage Period: Nov 25, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: 24-Hour Call, 7a-7a, 6-7 shifts per month Call Type: Beeper Call Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Travel & Lodging Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adult, 100% Inpatient Average Daily Volume: 1-6 Case Mix: Obstetrics, Gynecology, deliveries, C-sections, VBACs, GYN call FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: EPIC Office Equipment Available: Hospital Labor and Delivery facilities, Onsite Labs & Ultrasound PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 90 days (can be expedited) REQUIRED PROCEDURES Routine vaginal deliveries, low forceps deliveries Decision-making for Cesarean sections Complicated deliveries (breech, multiple births, abruptions) VBACs Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations GYN call coverage JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible – American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology Licenses: Active KY License or Universal License (IMLC) DEA: Active DEA Certification Certifications: BLS Other Qualifications: Must be available for coverage Nov 25-29; please note if provider has worked previously at BSMH Duties & Responsibilities Provide on-call coverage for OB/GYN emergencies Perform routine vaginal deliveries and low forceps deliveries Make decisions and perform Cesarean sections as needed Manage complicated deliveries including breech, multiple births, and abruptions Provide GYN call coverage including repair of lacerations
