JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title:Physician – Obstetrics and Gynecology • Job Type:Locum Tenens • Location: Richland, WA • Service Setting:Outpatient/Inpatient • Coverage Type:Clinical Only • Coverage Period:September 01, 2026 – Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule:Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM COVERAGE DATES • September 01, 2026 – Ongoing • Full-time coverage required (35–40 hours/week) PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics:Adults, OB/GYN patients • Patient Volume/Census:20 patients/day • Case Mix:Low-risk pregnancy, high-risk pregnancy, labor and delivery, gynecology, surgical gynecology, emergency OB/GYN cases FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department:337 hospital beds • Trauma Level:Level 2 • EMR System:Epic • Specialty Backup Available:FPOB residents in-house during OB rotations • Support Staff Available:13 PA/NPs, RN cohort support, minimum 1:1 MA-to-provider ratio • Reason for Coverage:Supplemental coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance:Covered by Vendor • Other Info:Long-term housing requires pre-approval; regional lodging budget approximately $3,000/month PROCEDURES • Low-risk pregnancy management • High-risk pregnancy management • FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) • OB ultrasound performance and interpretation • Routine vaginal delivery • Low forceps delivery • C-section decision-making • Complicated deliveries • C-sections • Breech deliveries • Multiple births • Abruptions • VBACs • Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations • Office/minor gynecology procedures (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP) • Open surgical gynecology • Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor gynecology procedures • Operative/major gynecologic surgery --- JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses:Active Washington license or IMLC • Board:Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology • DEA:Active DEA Certification required • Certifications:BLS • Experience:Minimum 3 years of OB/GYN experience required (2+ years plus fellowship considered) • Other Qualifications: Ability to mentor/advisory support for new graduate providers and APPs DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide outpatient OB/GYN clinic coverage Monday through Friday • Support APPs and midwives with complex patients • Perform OB/GYN surgical procedures and flex into the OR as needed • Manage labor and delivery patients including high-risk obstetrics • Mentor and advise new graduate providers when applicable • Handle emergent OB/GYN surgical cases from the ED including hysterectomy, ectopic pregnancy, D&C, ovarian cystectomy, and exploratory laparotomy
