Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Adelphi is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide services at a facility in Mitchells, Virginia. The ideal candidate will deliver direct patient care services under the direction of a Physical Therapist, that will include; the implementation of treatment plans, administration of therapeutic exercises, and ongoing monitoring of patient progress. Job Quick Facts: • Ref#: BD-353-40 • Profession: Allied Health • Specialty: Physical Therapist Assistant • Location: Mitchells, VA • Service Setting: Correctional Facility • Job Type: Contract • Start Date: ASAP • Shift schedule: M-F 8a-430p • Shift Type: Days • Rate: $29-$40/hr Requirements: • Graduate of APTA program accredited by CAPTE • Active Virginia license • CPR Certification Responsibilities: • Perform care consistent with the scope of licensure and in accordance with the facility's policies and procedures. • Provide direct patient care services under the direction of a Physical Therapist. • Assist the Physical Therapist in performing assessments and complex treatment procedures. • Maintain documentation on all patients referred for services. • Complete reports or assessments/evaluations and progress notes utilizing facility's approved documentation forms. • Attend and participate in inter-disciplinary team meetings. • Complete all tasks within established timelines provided by the facility. • Comply with all state requirements and facility policies and procedures. • Additional duties as assigned by facility.
