Adelphi is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) to provide professional nursing services at a facility in Edgecombe County, North Carolina. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and provide care to adolescents in a structured environment. Job Quick Facts • Ref #:BD-682-15 • Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) • Specialty: Pediatric / Adolescent Nursing • Location: Edgecombe County, North Carolina • Facility Type: Secure juvenile setting • Patient Population: Adolescents • Schedule: Monday to Friday • Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts) • Start Date: ASAP • Rate: $45–$50/hour Requirements • Active North Carolina RN License • Current BLS certification • Experience in adolescent, pediatric, school health, public health, correctional/juvenile, or emergency nursing • Ability to work independently as the sole on-site nurse during portions of the shift • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Teams or WebEx • Must complete required on-site orientation prior to assignment Responsibilities • Deliver nursing care to an adolescent population within RN scope of practice • Administer medications safely and in accordance with established protocols • Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records • Collaborate with direct care staff to ensure continuity of care • Provide independent nursing coverage during assigned shifts • Promote a safe and structured environment for youth • Adhere to all facility security protocols, including controlled access and restrictions on personal items and cell phone use • Participate in required trainings and meetings • Follow facility guidelines regarding restricted items and secure access • Perform other duties as assigned
