Responsibilities

→Accounting Analyst will assist the Controller with plant financial activities including GL accounting and reconciliations.
→Support the month-end closing process including preparation of manual Journal Entries and ensuring appropriate cost allocations.
→Monitor receivables and payables activity and address issues as necessary.
→Maintain fixed asset folders to track capital projects from CAR to CIP to Assets Register. Maintain capital tracking, reporting, and analysis.
→Support inventory controls including annual physical inventory to ensure accurate inventory balances and perpetual analysis.
→Support and promote Continuous Improvement initiatives.
→Support controller in preparation of monthly outlook requirements as well as annual and long-range plans.
→Maintain internal controls processes and documentation related to Sarbanes Oxley compliance. Support internal and external audit activities.
→Maintain directed supply process and reporting (including intercompany charges)
→Will backup and support payroll processing

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance required. Knowledge of basic accounting theory and methods.
Three years related work experience. Preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work well under deadlines and pressure.
Extensive use of MS Excel. Preferred general knowledge of MRP & SAP systems or related ERP Knowledge

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
