- Provide financial analysis and insights that support leadership decision-making.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, accessible summaries for non-financial leaders.
Budgeting & Planning
- Oversee the annual budgeting process in collaboration with campus and senior leaders.
- Monitor budget performance and flag variances with context and recommendations.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and planning to support ongoing operations.
Asset & Plan Management
- Monitor and manage the performance of invested assets against established objectives.
- Manage the organization's retirement plans and prepare all required reports.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor the accounting staff team.
- Build a team culture that values accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Nonprofit or church accounting experience is a plus.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with retirement plan reporting and invested asset management.
Leadership & Communication
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator who can work collaboratively with campus leaders and executives.
- Ability to translate financial complexity into clear language for non-financial stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Louisville, Kentucky. You'll work within a mission-driven organization that holds its staff to a clear set of values: Honor, Care, Accountability, Grit, Authenticity, Humility, and a genuine sense of community. Alignment with the organization's faith-based mission and values is an expectation for this role.
