Contract Length: 13-Week Contract
Shift: 8-Hour Evening Shift | Monday – Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Travel Instrument Technician to join a Sterile Processing Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments while maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and patient safety.

Responsibilities

→Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments
→Operate sterilization equipment and monitor sterilization cycles
→Inspect instruments for cleanliness, function, and damage
→Prepare surgical instrument trays according to procedure requirements
→Maintain inventory of sterile supplies and instruments
→Follow infection prevention and sterile processing standards
→Document sterilization records accurately
→Collaborate with operating room staff to ensure instrument availability
→Maintain a clean and organized work environment
→Comply with facility safety and quality standards

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent Sterile Processing/Instrument Technician experience
Experience reprocessing surgical instruments
Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection prevention practices
Previous travel experience is a bonus
HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) certification
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
