Wednesday - Friday 7:30am - 5pm
- Creates, distributes, and coordinates daily procedure schedules with Radiologists.
- Assists Radiologists with inpatient and outpatient consultations and minimally invasive imaging-based procedures.
- Coordinates with multiple departments to ensure timely performance of procedures and follows up on incomplete or incorrect exams.
- Provides necessary education to patients, family, and medical staff about exams and procedures, addressing patient needs and anxieties.
- Assists Radiologists in providing timely results to ancillary departments and physician offices, facilitating physician-to-physician communication.
- Implements radiologist orders accurately, promptly, and courteously, ensuring effective communication of clinical information and observations.
- Adheres to scheduled shifts, providing proper advanced notification of tardiness, absences, and vacation requests, and works a minimum of two shifts per month.
- Coordinates “on call” technologists and Radiology Nurses for procedures and assists the scheduling department with outpatient procedure scheduling.
- Participates in process improvement initiatives by collecting data, submitting ideas, and utilizing patient service recovery resources.
- Utilizes knowledge and skills to provide safe and effective patient care, actively participating in outstanding customer service.
- Operates in tandem with the radiologist during minimally invasive imaging-based procedures performed throughout multiple imaging modalities.
- Ensures proper sterile procedure etiquette and patient safety.
- Oversee the Protocol Worklist within EMR, ensuring thorough clinical evaluation and alignment with procedural safety standards and best patient care practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge and skill with sterile technique [Required]
- Knowledge of interventional procedures [Required]
- Demonstrates calm, professional, and effective listening and speaking skills, and applies nonverbal communication techniques as appropriate during all communication [Required]
- Proficiency in multi-tasking by monitoring worklists, handling multiple phone lines [Required]
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn/adapt to new technologies and protocols and help develop the knowledge and competency of coworkers and Radiology team members [Required]
- Skill with Microsoft Office [Required]
- Ability to travel to cover various hospital locations 50% of the time [Required]
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
- Associate [Preferred]
- Bachelor's [Preferred]
- in Radiologic Science
- 3+ experience assisting with image-based procedures [Preferred]
Requirements

- Registered Technologist – Radiography RT(R)(ARRT) [Required] OR Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) [Required] OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) [Required] OR Registered Technologist - Sonography (RT(S)(ARRT)) [Required]
Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
