We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at AdvisaCare! In this role, you will work closely with clients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of personalized treatment plans, conducting therapeutic exercises, and providing guidance on proper techniques for mobility and rehabilitation. Additionally, you will collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and promote optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans developed by the licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities with clients, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and coordination.
  • Provide guidance and education to clients and their families on proper techniques for exercises, transfers, and ambulation.
  • Assess and document clients' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and caregivers, providing support and answering questions.
  • Adhere to all relevant legal, ethical, and professional standards.
  • Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Michigan.
  • CPR certification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules.
