Mechatronics Technician

The Mechatronics Technician II supports maintenance and process engineering by installing, improving, and troubleshooting automated equipment. This is a growth-oriented role with exposure to new equipment installs, system upgrades, and advanced controls technologies.

This role will be working with PLC-controlled equipment, vision systems, laser scanners, and smart machines. You will work directly with manufacturing equipment, automation projects, and advanced troubleshooting in a modern, climate-controlled facility.

• →PLC-based troubleshooting of automated manufacturing equipment (I/O, sensors, drives, safety circuits)
• →Electrical and mechanical support for automation projects and equipment upgrades
• →Installation, wiring, and checkout of machines, automation cells, and production equipment
• →Support of vision systems, laser scanners, safety devices, and sensors
• →Read and use electrical schematics, ladder logic, and OEM documentation
• →Assist with new equipment installations, relocations, and commissioning
• →Partner with Maintenance, Process Engineering, and external integrators
• →Follow all quality, safety, and environmental procedures

• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and ladder logic
• Vision systems and inspection cameras
• Laser scanners and safety systems
• Industrial sensors, servos, VFDs, and linear actuators
• Electrical panels, controls wiring, and machine troubleshooting
• Mechanical assembly and machine fabrication

• Associate’s Degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Electrical Technology, or similar
• 3–6 years of hands-on experience with automated or PLC-controlled equipment
• Ability to connect to a PLC and troubleshoot using ladder logic
• Experience with electrical wiring and control panels
• Mechanical aptitude for assembly, adjustment, and repair
• Comfortable working from schematics and technical documentation
• Basic proficiency with MS Office; experience with PLC software or SolidWorks is a plus
• Manufacturing experience (automated assembly, plastics, extrusion) is a plus, not required
