Job Title: Program Administrator
Location: Remote
 

The Program Administrator functions as a program coordinator responsible for day-to-day administrative, operational, and coordination (ADCON) activities supporting the execution of a single government IT program. This role ensures that program operations run smoothly by managing administrative workflows, coordinating across internal support functions, and maintaining execution discipline across Agile teams and back-office processes.

This role operates in support of the Senior Program Manager and delivery leadership, ensuring that program infrastructure, administrative requirements, and operational tasks are properly executed, tracked, and completed. The Program Manager also provides coordination support across teams, helping ensure execution blockers are addressed, administrative processes are completed, and program operations remain compliant, efficient, and transparent.

In addition, this role provides limited support to budget execution activities, including invoice coordination, travel processing, and basic financial tracking support, escalating financial decisions and variances to the Senior Program Manager.

  • Project Management skills — ability to coordinate tasks, track action items, manage timelines, and support execution across multiple workstreams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel — for tracking budgets, invoices, travel, administrative actions, status reporting, and operational metrics.
  • Program coordination and administrative support experience — managing day-to-day program operations, workflows, and support activities.
  • Strong organizational skills — ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain execution discipline, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Attention to detail — especially for administrative processes, compliance tracking, documentation, and financial support activities.
  • Communication skills — strong written and verbal communication to coordinate across Agile teams, leadership, and internal support functions.
  • Task tracking and follow-up — ability to monitor action items, identify blockers, and ensure issues are escalated appropriately.
  • Operational support experience — familiarity with administrative, operational, and coordination activities in a program environment.
  • Basic budget and financial tracking support — experience supporting invoice coordination, travel processing, and simple budget execution tasks.
  • Ability to work in a government contracting or government IT environment — understanding of structured processes, compliance expectations, and delivery support needs.
  • Collaboration skills — ability to work effectively with program leadership, back-office teams, and technical delivery teams.
  • Problem-solving and decision support — ability to identify administrative or operational issues and elevate them to the appropriate leadership.
  • Knowledge of Smartsheets — for tracking program actions, workflows, schedules, and reporting.
  • Experience supporting government IT programs.
  • Familiarity with Agile team environments and coordination across Agile delivery teams.
  • Experience with status reporting, dashboards, and operational metrics.
  • Knowledge of invoice processing, travel coordination, and basic financial reconciliation in a program setting.
  • Experience supporting program compliance, documentation, and audit-ready administrative processes.
  • Familiarity with collaboration and workflow tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working directly with Senior Program Managers or delivery leadership in a support or coordination capacity.
