Agilent is seeking a Production Manager to lead a team responsible for transforming previously owned analytical instruments into Agilent Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) products. This role plays a critical part in Agilent's commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions that extend instrument life cycles while providing exceptional value to our customers.
As the Refurbishment Production Manager, you will lead a team of highly skilled technical specialists who repair, configure, test, troubleshoot and certify a broad range of instruments across Agilent's portfolio. You will drive operational excellence, ensure adherence to Agilent quality standards, and deliver products that meet customer expectations for performance, reliability, and delivery.
This position offers unique exposure to a wide variety of Agilent technologies and requires close collaboration with global business units, engineering, supply chain, service, and operations teams to expand the Certified Pre-Owned portfolio, improve processes, and support Agilent's sustainability goals.
Responsibilities

- →Lead the day-to-day operations of the Certified Pre-Owned refurbishment team.
- →Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant refurbishment, testing, and release of instruments.
- →Manage production schedules, workforce planning, and capacity to meet customer demand and delivery commitments.
- →Drive operational performance through key metrics related to quality, productivity, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
- →Ensure all refurbished instruments meet Agilent's Certified Pre-Owned quality standards and performance specifications.
Technical Leadership
- →Lead a team of technical experts responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, configuring, upgrading, and testing multiple instrument platforms across the Agilent portfolio.
- →Support resolution of complex technical issues and escalations.
- →Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing.
- →Partner with business units and engineering teams to incorporate product updates, configuration changes, and best practices into refurbishment processes.
Portfolio Expansion and Project Leadership
- →Lead projects to introduce new products and instrument configurations into the Certified Pre-Owned portfolio.
- →Drive process improvements that enhance quality, throughput, and customer experience.
- →Coordinate with global Certified Pre-Owned teams to balance capacity, share technical expertise, and standardize best practices.
People Leadership and Talent Development
- →Build technical depth through cross-training and succession planning.
- →Ensure workforce capabilities evolve to meet changing customer demand and portfolio growth.
- →Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and accountable team culture focused on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
The Refurbishment Production Manager directly contributes to Agilent's mission of advancing science while supporting the company's sustainability commitments. By leading the refurbishment and certification of analytical instruments, you will help customers access trusted Agilent technology, extend product life cycles, reduce environmental impact, and deliver meaningful value to laboratories around the world.
Your leadership will ensure Agilent continues to provide Certified Pre-Owned instruments that meet the same high standards of quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction that define the Agilent brand.
Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in manufacturing, production, service, refurbishment, or technical operations.
- Strong problem-solving, project management, and continuous improvement capabilities.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Preferred
- Experience with Agilent instruments.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulated quality systems and product certification processes.
- Experience with reverse logistics, material handling, and SAP ERP.
