You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial information and timely preparation of accurate financial reports. You will oversee financial transactions, manage general ledger entries, perform financial reconciliations, support budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. You will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of Agility Business Parks Côte d'Ivoire and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Oversee daily accounting operations, including the preparation of journal entries, general ledger postings, and account reconciliations in SAGE.
- →Maintain and ensure accuracy of the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
- →Ensure proper documentation and accurate recording of financial transactions.
- →Adhere to local regulations, group policies, and requirements.
- →Collaborate with external advisors to ensure compliance with tax laws, including corporate income tax, Property tax, VAT, and withholding taxes.
- →Prepare and maintain monthly management reports (e.g., Fixed Assets Register, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Aging Reports, etc.).
- →Oversee the accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payment to vendors.
- →Collaborate with consultants to claim VAT refunds and file incentive applications with the Investment Promotion Center (CEPICI).
- →Register loan agreements with banks and/or FINEX.
- →Maintain compliance with all local statutory requirements.
- →Prepare financial statements according to local GAAP and participate in audits (external/internal).
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (master’s degree or CPA/ACCA is a plus).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, preferably within logistics, real estate, or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP accounting principles.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Oracle, SAGE Saari, etc.) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of local tax laws and regulations in the region.
- Able to communicate fluently in English and French
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ ERP
- Strong knowledge of IFRS & local laws
- Proactive and results-oriented approach
- Strong organizational and time management skills
