About the Role
~2 min readReporting to the Head of Local Equities, the Analyst is responsible for the research of Singapore-listed stocks predominantly. Using fundamental analysis, this position supports the Portfolio Managers within the team in conducting equity research on stocks, industries and sectors, including analyzing companies’ financial statements, prospects and company visits. In addition, the incumbent will also be involved in producing sustainability reports to provide ESG analysis and stewardship engagement.
Responsibilities
- Support the team in conducting equity research on stocks, industries, and sectors.
- Assist in analyzing financial statements, market trends, and company fundamentals.
- Assist Portfolio Manager(s) in pitching investment rationale and valuation methodology.
- Build and maintain financial models to evaluate investment opportunities.
- Monitor and track key economic indicators, news, and corporate earnings reports.
- Prepare detailed reports and client presentation decks.
- Work with data analytics and AI tools to enhance stock research.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Business, Accountancy, Finance, Economics or a related field.
- Min 2 years of relevant working experience
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen interest in equity markets.
- Competent in programming and use of Python.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with Factset and Aladdin would be an advantage.
- Ability to interpret financial statements and market data effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of working both independently and in a team setting.
- CFA ESG certification (can be obtained after joining AIAIM).
