As a Logistics Coordinator Level I, you support the internal material flow that feeds our Final Assembly Line (FAL). Your responsibilities span receiving and inspection control, inventory management, kit preparation, FAL delivery, and packaging of returns, all in accordance with internal procedures and quality requirements. You will report to the US Logistics Manager.
Responsibilities
~1 min readReceiving / Inbound:
- →Perform physical control of incoming parts per internal procedures and the Quality usage decision in SAP, ensuring proper identification and labelling.
- →Store parts properly within the warehouse, following internal storage and ESD rules.
Inventory Management:
- →Maintain inventory accuracy through correct SAP transactions and careful physical handling.
- →Assist with tracking and reporting material shortages.
Kit Preparation:
- →Apply FIFO and pick the components listed on the kitting order.
- →Bag and label components properly according to their size and type.
- →Follow technical instructions to prepare parts so they are ready for production.
- →Perform kit receipt in the warehouse in SAP (MIGO) and print the associated labels.
Picking / FAL Delivery:
- →Using a dedicated trolley, physically pick and scan the components listed on the picking order, applying FIFO.
- →Deliver kits and components line-side to the Final Assembly Line on schedule.
Packaging / Returns:
- →Package parts and returns following the internal process.
Education:
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Minium 1 year experience of warehouse, kitting or manufacturing experience; aerospace or ESD-experience is a plus.
Experience & Skills:
- Willingness to work flexible hours / in a shift organization and work overtime as needed.
- Experience with a computer MRP system (SAP preferred).
- Forklift certification preferred.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a sense of urgency.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience operating strapping and wrapping machines for outbound shipments is preferred.
- Experience in Aerospace or Commercial Manufacturing in an ESD (electrostatic discharge) environment is helpful.
- Knowledge of managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Previous kitting/warehouse or manufacturing assembly experience preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods with frequent stooping or bending, and to lift per site requirements.
- Ability to take instructions and work with little supervision.
- Ability to count accurately and perform simple math.
- Ability to read and comprehend at a level required to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Capability and willingness to cross-train between departments and jobs as required.
