This role involves supervising a frontline team to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining high standards of food safety and displaying aesthetics. The coordinator will act as the primary point of contact for staff inquiries, manage shift transitions, and ensure the counter operates efficiently during high-volume periods.
Responsibilities

- →Supervise the stocking and merchandising of the 'grab and go' displays, ensuring all items are fresh, correctly labelled, visually appealing, and the food labelling follows the Canadian Consumer Packaging and Labelling Act
- →Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
- →Conduct regular performance check-ins, provide real-time coaching, and assist in formal performance evaluations
- →Facilitates established staff work schedules
- →Monitor the flow of counter service to ensure guests receive fast, friendly, and accurate service, intervening to resolve customer issues or bottlenecks immediately
- →Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, drawer reconciliations, and securing the facility
- →Ensure food and service meet quality standards
- →Supervise the daily and weekly deep-cleaning schedules for the counter area, equipment (e.g., espresso machines, coolers), and seating areas
- →Responsible for ordering of supplies, monitoring inventory levels and coordinating restocking to minimize outages and maximize sales opportunities
- →Monitors department emails, ensuring that supply orders or messages are answered promptly
- →Recommend or implement operational procedures to improve service efficiency and food quality
Requirements
~1 min read- Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Three years of experience in the hospitality industry, knowledge of the foodservice operations or a similar combination of supervisory experience or education
- Food Safe Level 1 certificate is an asset
- Must be physically fit (able to bend, kneel, crawl, stoop, climb, and lift up to 70 pounds repetitively)
- Previous leadership experience
- Must be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident or show proof of right to work in Canada
