The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including general obstetrics and gynaecology, lactation consultancy, family planning, and parenting education. The Department also offers specialized services in Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynaecologic Oncology, Urogynaecology, and Paediatric & Adolescent Gynaecology, along with postgraduate residency and fellowship programmes.

The Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Research Associate in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible to:
- coordinate with project staff for work related to research study
- provide trainings to staff where necessary
- coordinate with multiple stakeholders for carrying out the project activities smoothly.
- actively work on proposal development of research studies pertaining to Ob/Gyn
- liaise with granting agencies as per the requirement of the study
- conduct literature reviews and provide support in writing research papers
- prepare write-up of the results, manuscripts of paper, presentation and research proposals
- prepare and present weekly, fortnightly, and monthly project reports and presentations for the progress of study being carried out at multiple locations
- search and apply for new grants to funding agencies
- prepare and submit applications for approvals for ERC/IRB and NBC
- attend Zoom/in-person meetings with the in-country team and sponsors in the evening hours
- prepare and present weekly, fortnightly, and monthly project reports and presentations
- provide support for the preparation of study progress reports for PI/co-PI and donor organizations.
Requirements
You should have:
- MBBS/BS/MSc, MPH/MSc Epi Bio or Masters in any other relevant field
- at least two years of related work experience preferably in community settings/hospital or research facilities
- excellent interpersonal skills particularly communication skills
- proficiency in the use of computer applications, particularly MS Word and Excel
- the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
- the ability to work effectively in teams and resilience to cope-up with work pressure
- excellent communication and good writing skills
- the willingness to work in a community setting and travel as per work requirements.
- basic Knowledge of survey, other research designs and data collection, analysis, and interpretation in terms of report writing and biostatics.
- undertake field visits, and support project activities as required.
