Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

  • Perform non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedure according to specified protocols.
  • Perform advance Cardiac procedures and learn to perform new techniques and modalities. including pacemaker checkup, Holter monitoring, strain imaging and 4D imaging in echocardiography procedures.
  • Identify any discrepancies in patient’s reports and resolve it with the concerned faculty to avoid such discrepancies in the future.
  • Assist in quality audits for cardiopulmonary department to attain required quality standards.
  • Conduct educational and learning sessions for the trainees and on-board technologists on regular basis to enhance their technical skills which will result in better patient care delivery and accurate results.
  • Liaise with the bio-medical department regarding equipment repair and maintenance as and when required.
  • Liaise with physicians to ensure timely reporting of the procedures.

Requirements

You should have the following:

  • Graduate; Masters Preferred.
  • Two years training course in Cardiopulmonary Diagnostic Technology at AKU or equivalent
  • Registered from any international board like Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
  • Certification in Basic Life Support Certification in Basic Life Support.
  • At least4 to 6 years related work experience in a recognized hospital.
  • Good working knowledge of diagnostic procedures and operations of equipment.
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills, with the ability to lead by example when working with colleagues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills.
  • Capability to perform effectively and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Should be ready for late sittings or on-calls in emergency by providing necessary compensation i.e. staggered hours.
