The Department of Radiology offers a comprehensive range of highly sophisticated imaging tests and procedures that are conducted in a welcoming environment that focuses on quality and patient comfort. The diagnostic services are supported by advanced, state-of-the-art technologies like 3T MRI, 640 slice CT, Mammography, DEXA, Nuclear Imaging, Interventional services, general x-rays, etc. The department is dedicated to patient services and imaging excellence through highest professional and technological standards. The department maintains state-of-the-art technology imaging services to provide our physicians and patients with the most accurate, timely and informative results.

Responsibilities:
- Learn and work under supervision on general Radiography Imaging Systems including Computed & Digital Radiography.
- Become oriented in MRI, CT, Vascular Intervention Radiology, Mammography, DEXA, Ultrasound, PET-CT, and Nuclear Medicine.
- Attend didactic sessions and rotate in modalities as per schedule.
- Observe and perform routine procedures under supervision as part of your learning.
- Prepare patients for imaging examinations, explain procedures to alleviate anxiety, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Learn to position patients accurately for standard and modified radiographic projections while applying appropriate exposure factors.
- Maintain strict hand hygiene and follow infection control protocols for handling patients, cleaning imaging equipment and examination rooms.
- Report to duty in professional attire (no t-shirts, shorts etc.) always display the institutional ID badge alongside assigned personal radiation monitoring badge.
- Perform duties in assigned shifts according to Rota.
- Adhere to institutional radiation safety protocols and the departmental code of ethics.
Requirements:
- Fresh candidates who have completed Bachelor of Science in the disciplines of Imaging Technology will be preferred however student who have the BSc degree in any biological sciences are also eligible to apply.
- Full-time employment may be offered on successful completion of the traineeship programme subject to the availability of vacant position.
Entry Test: The test will be conducted at Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi.
Travel Policy: No travel allowance will be provided to candidates traveling from outside Karachi.
The shortlisted candidates will be required to clear the aptitude test and the interview.
