With our unique blend of products – including 3D woven structures, traditional and non-traditional 2D composite structures, and discrete through thickness reinforcement technologies, to name a few – AEC is able to produce composite components and products which meet performance and cost specifications often beyond the reach of metallic or conventional laminated composites.
To support and assist and all duties of the shipping department
Responsibilities

- Daily material handling activities at the AEC
- Organize and complete all shipping functions for multiple programs
- Process all shipments in Albany, transportation company and customer systems
- Work with Quality and Customer Source inspection to receive product to be shipped and insure paperwork is accurate
- Coordinate export shipments in accordance with government regulations
- Track and order shipping supplies and coordinate with procurement expedite requirements
- Loading and unloading freight vehicles with forklift and necessary material handling equipment
- Package material for transport/storage as required
- Work flexible hours to achieve daily departmental objectives
- Understand and work on customer shipment schedules
- Prepare outbound shipments and make necessary logistics arrangements
- Prepare all outbound shipment documentation
- Observe Safety policies, programs and initiatives including work place organization
- Ensure that all company and governmental policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Troubleshoot and assist in solving problems.
- Drive continuous improvements in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
- Housekeeping and organization (5S) of the work areas (Receiving, Stockroom and Warehouse)
- Interact and coordinate activities with other departments as necessary

- High school/ Associates degree or equivalent experience. Experience may be substituted for education at management’s discretion
- Valid driver’s license
- SAP system experience preferred
- 5 years Shipping experience preferred
- Must be able to demonstrate organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Detail oriented in terms of documentation
- Basic math skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Multitasking abilities
- Complete forklift and powerlift certification
- Safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment and be able to pass certification
- Computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, SAP)
- Complete IATA, IMG and ground Dangerous Goods certification as required
- Perform Shipping and Receiving functions as required
- Ability to communicate in English via written and spoken words
- Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs.
- Proper use of safety and personal protective equipment
Indoor production environment, adequate lighting and comfortable temperatures. Occasional exposure to moderate noise and machinery with mechanical moving parts. Ability to work 24/7 schedule and be available as business situations required, overtime dependent on business need.
