CDL-A Dry Van Driver

Pay: $1,450–$1,650 per week
Freight: No-touch general commodity freight
Home Time: Every other weekend (48-hour reset)

A strong Southeast freight network gives CDL-A truck drivers access to dependable miles and familiar regional routes. Predictable lane planning and no-touch freight help keep the workweek productive while supporting consistent weekly earnings.

Life on the Road

Most freight runs east of I-35 with no NYC routes, while occasional freight to all 48 states helps keep freight moving year-round. Drivers average approximately 2,500 miles per week with haul lengths around 700 miles, creating a balanced mix of steady driving and practical trip planning.

No-touch freight allows drivers to spend more time behind the wheel and less time waiting at shipping docks, helping maintain a productive schedule throughout the week.

Equipment

Drive a 2021 or newer Freightliner or Kenworth tractor built for long-haul comfort and reliability. Depending on parking availability and location, some drivers may be able to take their truck home between trips.

Reliable lane coverage and established customer freight help support consistent weekly income while providing scheduled home time drivers can plan around.

Additional compensation includes detention, breakdown, and layover pay. Paid orientation and paid time off are also included as part of the overall benefits package.

Driver Qualifications

Valid CDL-A license
Minimum of 3 months of tractor-trailer experience
