This role is part of Alcon's Manufacturing function, a team that designs, produces and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency.
The Operator II, Production Technical Operations (Para-Professional & Support Path) is responsible for sophisticated complex tasks in production operations, including equipment setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. You will work in the Phaco Secondaries Department at our facility in Sinking Spring, PA.
Specifics include:
Handle sophisticated manual or operational tasks to maintain process efficiency, including repetitive assembly operations to exacting standards.
Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment to manufacture products according to production specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards.
Perform visual and dimensional inspections of products; monitor, evaluate, and adjust equipment to increase quality and efficiency.
Handle resources and schedules to meet specifications and operational goals; review work orders and align operations with business objectives.
Observe output quality to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Maintain accurate daily production records and complete batch documentation for performance analysis.
Work in a coordinated, computerized manufacturing environment, following applicable safety guidelines and processing standards.
Conform to GxP regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring detailed quality control, and completing all required training.
Drive regulatory compliance, meet individual job requirements, and help support compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in team projects to develop process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to improve quality, cost, and scheduling.
