This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, a team focused on improving quality, processes, products, packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes.

Alcon is looking to hire a Quality Engineer I to join our Global Technical Service Quality team in Lake Forest, CA. The Quality Engineer I will be responsible for development, modification, application and maintenance of quality standards and processes applicable to Technical Services. This role collaborates with Global Technical Service, Warehousing, Field Service, Clinical Application Specialists, and Equipment manufacturing teams to ensure quality standards are in-place and applied in respective operational environments. This position will primarily support Alcon’s surgical and diagnostic devices.

• →Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs)

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Service Engineering, Technical Services, or a related function.
• Knowledge of quality systems and engineering principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Experience within the medical device, healthcare, biotechnology, or regulated manufacturing industries.
• Experience with quality metrics, trending, and statistical analysis tools.
• Familiarity with SAP, PLM, or other quality management systems.
